What we offer

We provide various educational opportunities for professional development and collegial networking. Large group meetings and smaller reading groups are our central activities, as well as an introductory Fundamentals reading group for focused learning, and an annual Ethics workshop. Some groups meet in person and some are online.

We have a library which is stocked with up-to-date books, a large collection of journals and articles, and some DVDs. We also have a supportive email communication facility for members to share brief notices and requests amongst each other, including information about our own upcoming meetings as well as relevant local and international events.

Individual and group supervision in the Self or Relational framework is offered by some of our senior psychoanalytic psychotherapists, who are also available to give support to our reading groups.

The CTPSPG has organised several national and international conferences. The first one took place in 1992. These have helped the group strengthen our ties with each other and with our international community of psychoanalytic psychotherapists.

Members earn CPD points for attendance at all events that we organise.
